宇部化學(xué)在西班牙新開(kāi)設(shè)研發(fā)中心，占地約2000平方米。該研發(fā)中心將投資超過(guò)總銷售額的1%.建成后,30多名技術(shù)人員將在這進(jìn)行合成試驗(yàn)工作,同時(shí)為客戶提供技術(shù)支持以及運(yùn)行新的試點(diǎn)工廠設(shè)施。

　　UBE has opened a new Research & Development center in their chemical site in Castelló de la Plana (Spain). In the 2000 m2 new laboratories, more than 30 technicians will work in synthesizing and characterizing new products, offering technical support to customers and also running new pilot plants facilities.

　　R&D Center for Technological Solutions

　　UBE has recently increased the investment in R&D, devoting more than 1% of total sales. The main innovation activities are focused on the synthesis of new polycarbonate diols, polyamides and other high performance intermediates, as well as the development of new applications for food packaging, automotive, coatings,elastomers, adhesives & sealants, among others.

　　This new R&D center will reinforce the cooperation with customers, technical institutes and universities to innovate and develop industrial and technological solutions, sustainable and more environmentally friendly due to lower resources consumption. UBE will strengthen the technical assistance to customers in Europe, America, Middle East and Africa.

　　Eternacoll® Polycarbonate Polyols

　　With this new facility, UBE will continue the expansion of Eternacoll® Polycarbonate polyols. UBE Eternacoll® is a large platform of solutions offering customizable possibilities to Polyurethane materials as well as superior and long-term retention of performance (thermal stability, oil resistance, hydrolytic stability, weatherability and chemical resistance).

　　ETERNACOLL® polycarbonate diols is the excellent polyol for manufacturing high performance polyurethanes, because they provide an improved durability to polyurethanes thanks to maximize chemical, oxidation and hydrolytic stability, and mechanical resistance. Thus, this superior durability enables to retain the original polyurethane properties in extreme and hash conditions overtime, and reduce the overall maintenance costs.
