Ashland Announces Price Increase in its Portfolio of Intermediates and Specialty Solvents

WILMINGTON, Del. - Ashland Specialty Ingredients, a commercial unit of Ashland, Inc. (NYSE: ASH) said it will increase the price of its portfolio of intermediates and specialty solvents sold globally effective January 1, 2014, or as contracts allow. Prices for 1,4 Butanediol (BDO) and its downstream derivatives will increase up to $0.08/kg.
