Mallard Creek Polymers Expands its Range of Styrene-butadiene Latex for EIFS and Cement Modification

Mallard Creek Polymers, Inc. (MCP) continues its aggressive R&D effort to create performance emulsion polymer products designed for waterproofing, moisture vapor and air barrier coatings, in addition to polymer systems for EIFS and cement modification.

The latest product, BarrierPro 4551, provides industry leading performance that meets or exceeds todays most demanding building system requirements. BarrierPro 4551 is a new generation of product that is highly water resistant, with high strength and medium flexibility, and gives less than one perm MVTR as measured by ASTM E-96.

BarrierPro 4551 joins other recent styrene-butadiene latex introductions. Tylac 4193, a flexible cement modification latex developed to enhance adhesion and flexibility of cementitious membranes and coatings, and BarrierPro 4555, a highly flexible and water resistant latex designed for damp proofing applications. These products, along with the other existing grades, meet the demanding performance challenges required by the industries evolving building codes and standards to protect the building envelope from moisture.
