FLEXcon Unveils sureFLEX, a Range of BOPP Films for Primary and Secondary Labeling

FLEXcon, an innovator in adhesive coating and laminating, announced the launch of sureFLEX, a series of Biaxially-Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) films designed for primary and secondary labeling applications. The multi-purpose 2 mil clear films have enhanced flexibility, utilizing the company’s new, higher-shear V-01 permanent acrylic adhesive, which offers improved performance without adhesive buildup on presses and die-cutting equipment and enables improved application to irregular surfaces.

Ideal for the pharmaceutical, health and beauty, food and beverage and household chemical markets, sureFLEX adapts to a variety of container types, including squeeze tube applications as well as full wrap labels and front and back panels. It also has a low haze level for no-label-look graphics on High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) containers and can withstand the crimping process. In addition, its smooth surface supports high-quality graphics.

The sureFLEX series eliminates the need for converters to powder rolls prior to processing and offers more open time for label misplacements at dispensing. It also complies with FDA 175.105 for indirect food contact and offers consistency of registration and ease of die-cutting. In addition, the print receptive surface is compatible with a wide range of inks, including UV, solvent and water flexo, UV and solvent screen and UV letterpress.

sureFLEX products are available on a TRACrite 92, 100 or 120 polyester release liner for excellent on-press performance for tight-registration graphics
